SCOTT P. KOCH

Director of Philanthropy

Scott P. Koch is director of philanthropy at Monograph Wealth Advisors, where he leads the firm’s philanthropic advisory and outsourced foundation office services. These services include charitable mission definition and articulation; philanthropic vehicle selection and governance design; grant and gift strategy development; multigenerational integration; family and board education; mission-informed portfolio management; and philanthropic community engagement.

Scott brings three decades of experience at the intersection of wealth and philanthropy. For the past ten years, he has served as executive director of a national, multigenerational family foundation, supporting the board as stewards of mission while providing executive leadership in governance, grantmaking, and investment alignment. He continues in this role as the foundation’s external executive director through Monograph’s Outsourced Foundation Office offering.  His experience provides Monograph a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities that individuals and families face as they build successful philanthropic legacies.

Before joining Monograph, Scott co-founded Waterline Partners, a wealth management firm later acquired by Northern Trust. He went on to serve as a national director in Northern Trust’s Wealth Management practice.

Scott graduated from Texas A&M University with a specialization in Finance.  He holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation and is active in philanthropic networks, frequently collaborating with peer foundations, community partners, and grantmakers to strengthen the field. He is passionate about creating trust-based, purpose-driven frameworks that empower families to pursue meaningful impact.
